Dear Sirs,
Where do i find the prize structure for the different flights?
What will be the prizes in the beginners flight and in the ladies tournament?
Not that i plan to convert to either lady or beginner :-)
Just asking for a good lady-friend of mine.
Best regards
Peter Toftsø

All good questions my friend. I will post the price structure on the homepage soon.
I can already announce that in Champ, Advanced and intermediate there will be prizes for the 8 best players (everyone reaching the final round). Also 1-2 in last chance will get a prize. So in total 10 players will receive prices.
What are more important is the trophies. Only the best 4 in Champ, Adv. and Int. will get the special trophies! The winner and runner op in LC will also receive a nice cup with their check.
For beginners and Ladies I can only say that it is a big TAKE! Right now people are working on nice sponsored prices. DBGF alone will welcome the new players by sponsoring prizes for up to 25.000 DDK depending on the number of participants! As last year top 4 in the beginner will be offered an entry to intermediate. The winner will get one of the nicest boards on the marked (From Brazil). plus more to be announced later.
Ladies tournament will as always offer very attractive prices and it is of cause free to enter.
Finally you have the mix doubles where you are allowed to help a bit (or a lot).
So Please bring your lovely wife, son, daughter, mom, father, grandma, cousins and friends.
Note that max. 256 players are allowed in the beginner’s flight!
The day will start with a seminar - so a challenge to everybody... Go to Nordic and sign up for beginners without knowing anything about Backgammon. Maybe you will get a nice surprise! And maybe you will understand why we love the game.

Hi Steen,
can you explain how you define your best danish players and who proposed the best to the world team? How you have organized such big prize fund? And what happens if one team reachs 43 WINNER POINTS before all sessions will be finished?
Thank you
Jakob Garal

The players for each team was Chosen by the Captains.
If one team reach 43 points before the final they have won and the final will not be played (Not likely, but possible). Money comes from Players and Investors.

You do not have to be a member to play the beginner. And if non members win just one match in the beginners flight they will get a free membership for 2010. You must be a member to play the ladies - so if you did not manage to win a match in the beginners flight you will have to invest 100 ddk to play it. The prizes are very nice in both flights. Eg. The winner of beginner will get a Brasilian board. The 4 best will get a free entry to intermediate. More and more prizes is added as we get closer to Nordic.
